Built in 1999, the facility at 5950 Sherry Lane is a nine-story building located in the Preston Center submarket in Dallas, Texas. This multi-tenant office building is home to tenants such as Mutual of Omaha Bank, Green Bank, Virginia Cook Realtors, and UBS. Transwestern has managed the building for RREEF since December 2009.
Achieving ENERGY STAR certification and superior energy performance several years in a row, 5950 Sherry Lane entered the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). All operations and maintenance practices were revised in 2011 and include: green cleaning, integrated pest control, green construction, recycling (paper, plastics, metals, light bulbs, ballasts, batteries, toner, electronics, etc.), reduced mercury content, increased outside air intake, green landscaping, and cooling tower management. The HVAC system consists of two 250-ton McQuay Chillers controlled by a Barber Coleman Siebe network 8000 energy management system (EMS). Additionally, the following improvements have been completed:
