The ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston Quincy, WA facility is located in central Washington, within proximity to prime potato-growing regions. The facility produces quality frozen potato products, including french fries and hash browns, destined for restaurants and food service operations around the world.
Lamb Weston purchased the Quincy facility in 1966, expanding it in 1974 by purchasing and modifying the adjacent co-product and retail packaging plant. The plant was expanded again in 1978 with the addition of a third larger processing plant. The plant now comprises three production lines, two retail packaging lines, and a boiler facility. As a result of the expansions and modifications, french fry production capacity has tripled since 1966.
ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston seizes every opportunity to preserve and protect vital natural resources by managing energy and water usage, and by reducing waste and pollution. The Quincy plant progressively applies good energy practices. Further, in 1997, a state-of-the art boiler house was constructed to convert steam generation from electric to natural gas. The boiler system was engineered to reduce energy needs and to maximize water conservation. Ongoing tracking and monitoring allows ConAgra to evaluate the plant's energy performance to goal, and to adjust and benchmark energy usage.
Quincy earned ENERGY STAR recognition for the first time in 2009.
