The Devil's Slide plant was first awarded the ENERGY STAR in 2008. An Energy Efficiency Assessment was performed to the Devil's Slide plant, and since then the plant has integrated the actions into an Energy Reduction Program. The program has helped the plant to reduce energy consumption by 40 kBtu per ton of clinker manufactured. This has resulted in a savings of 23,000 mMBtu in 2008.
