The Allergan Pharmaceuticals plant was built by Rockwell International Corp. and acquired by Allergan in 1989. Allergan manufactures pharmaceutical eye care and skin care products at the facility including the following brands RESTASIS^? (cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion) 0.05%, REFRESH^? Brand Product Line, OPTIVE" Lubricant Eye Drops, ALPHAGAN^? P (brimonidine tartate ophthalmic solution) 0.1% and 0.15%, COMBIGAN^? (brimonidine tartrate/timolol maleate ophthalmic solution) 0.2%/0.5%, LUMIGAN^? 0.01% and 0.03% (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution), ACULAR LS^? (ketorolac tromethamine ophthalmic solution) 0.4%, PRED FORTE^? (prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspension, USP) 1%, ZYMAR^? (gatifloxacin ophthalmic solution) 0.3%, TAZORAC^? (tazarotene) Cream and Gel 0.1%, and LATISSE" (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03%. The main processes conducted at the plant include compounding, filling and packaging of the products mentioned above.

Allergan maintains a comprehensive energy management program. Under this program, Allergan Pharmaceuticals has progressively applied good energy conservation practices promoted by ENERGY STAR including goal setting, monitoring and measuring consumption, project development, energy benchmarking, and tracking. The site has implemented 35 major projects over the past eight years that have saved totals of 6,825,745 kWh of electricity, 68,198 MMBTU of fuel, and $512,509. In 2009, Allergan Pharmaceuticals has another 5,500,000 kWh of electricity and $482,500 savings planned through energy efficiency projects.

Allergan Pharmaceuticals was the first pharmaceutical plant to be awarded the US EPA ENERGY STAR using the newly developed Pharmaceutical Energy Performance Indicator (EPI).
