The Marysville Auto Plant (MAP) is the longest-running Honda auto plant in the United States, beginning operations nearly 30 years ago.
The Honda of America Mfg. plant, located in Marysville, Ohio, currently employs approximately 4,250 associates. In addition to producing both the four-cylinder and V6 models of the Accord Sedan and Coupe. MAP also produces the Acura TLX and ILX. Vehicles built in Marysville provide transportation for customers in more than 100 countries around the world.
The Marysville plant earned its 10th consecutive ENERGY STAR certification in 2015, continuing a streak that began in 2006. Despite its long standing as an ENERGY STAR-certified facility, MAP replaced its old centralized steam system with a new heating system that uses natural gas and electricity, and includes direct-fired boilers that heat water more efficiently.
The Marysville plant also began use of a hydrogen fuel-cell powered tow motors and forklifts, reducing emissions from propane and requiring less treating of the air in the plant.
The Marysville Auto Plant is a 4-million square-foot facility that is capable of producing 440,000 vehicles per year.
