INTECH Twelve is a two-story, Class A office building located within INTECH Park on the northwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The building, constructed in 2001, is managed by CB Richard Ellis and is a property of Wells Real Estate Funds (Wells), a national purchaser and manager of Class A office buildings across the United States. As an ENERGY STAR partner, Wells is committed to continuously improving its sustainability practices to create exceptional environments for tenants.
With the assistance and commitment of all building occupants, the property received the 2010 ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance in April 2010, and the plaque is displayed in the main lobby. Monthly utility bills continue to be entered and tracked in EPA's Portfolio Manager.
CB Richard Ellis Tech Services staff members continue to identify additional easy-in, low-cost improvements such as the low-flow faucet aerators, which have been installed, and the motion sensors installed at common-area light-switch locations throughout the building. In addition, the computerized building management system (BMS) controls heating and cooling systems based on scheduled building occupancy and use. The building occupants also play a huge part by turning off individual office and conference room lights when not in use, and by setting their computers and monitors to energy-saving modes.
