Additionally, a recycling program for occupant waste was implemented.
Building owner TIAA-CREF, an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award winner in multiple years, has a strong commitment to energy management and has set portfolio-wide goals for energy-efficient buildings.
Communications:
Property management communicates with tenants about energy efficiency and sustainability, providing energy-saving tips to help the building maintain its superior performance. The building participated in the Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR campaign, providing free CFLs for tenants to take home, in addition to handouts about energy-efficient lighting.
