Mote Elementary School combines solid academic programs with a variety of classroom organizational patterns to provide the most effective learning environment possible.  Upon completion of a districtwide assessment of school facilities, district officials recommended changes and additions to the building.

The district invested more than 5 million dollars in improvements to this facility.  The work was concentrated in the following major areas: 1) construction of additional classroom space and renovations to the library and rest rooms; 2) renovations and upgrades of the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system; 3) renovations to the electrical, telephone, and security systems; 4) upgrades to interior finishes and miscellaneous site improvements; 5) replacement of plumbing fixtures and associated piping; and 6) installation of a new fire protection/sprinkler system.

These improvements enable Mote Elementary School to continue exemplary programs for every student who comes through its doors. 

ENERGY STAR Guidelines for Energy Management were followed throughout the design and purchasing for these major capital projects.  Data compiled through Portfolio Manager help school officials ensure that these improvements maximize the use of their energy resources.
