Marketing and Sales Resources for Automated Benchmarking

The following materials can be used by Service and Product Providers (SPPs) to educate employees, potential and existing clients and others about ENERGY STAR and Automated Benchmarking Services. These materials can also be used to market your partnership with ENERGY STAR.

Communicate Effectively with Handouts, Trainings and Fact Sheets:

Develop Client Relationships:

  • Client Development: Review the ENERGY STAR partner list for potential clients. ENERGY STAR partners have committed to benchmarking their facilities as a part of their partnership agreement. You can look at partner case studies, past ENERGY STAR Award winners, and label recipients to see which companies are currently benchmarking their facilities. The companies which are already benchmarking may need help expanding their benchmarking across their entire portfolio or keeping the facility benchmarking data up to date.   • Voluntary and Legislative Initiatives: For geographic specific marketing and sales efforts, review the list of voluntary and legislative initiatives involving ENERGY STAR across the country. These areas are hot beds for ENERGY STAR benchmarking and present opportunities for service providers to assist customers with participation in these initiatives.

Tell Others About Your Success:

  • Success Stories: You can partner with ENERGY STAR on the development of a customer success story that we will post on the ENERGY STAR web site.
  • Press Releases: ENERGY STAR can provide quotes and statistics for a press release and provides sample press releases.
