Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR!Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR is a national campaign from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) encouraging all Americans to join with millions of others in taking small steps that make a big difference in protecting the climate.
The campaign focuses on changes individuals can make at home and in their communities with ENERGY STAR certified products and energy-efficient practices that will save energy, save money, and help prevent climate change.
EPA understands the powerful role that social media plays in the work of our partners, and we want to make sure that we are connecting with you on the various platforms available.
ENERGY STAR has a Facebook, Twitter and YouTube page and we are already interacting with many of our partners in cyberspace. Are you one of them? If not, now is the time to get connected.
Why should you connect with ENERGY STAR in social media? ENERGY STAR's Facebook and Twitter pages have tens of thousands of fans. We are making an effort to grow this number and we want our partners to be able to spread the word about what they are doing for energy efficiency to our followers. This is a great way to spread the news of your efforts to a brand new audience.

You can be part of ENERGY STAR’s social media partner highlight series. Each week we cast the spotlight on the energy saving efforts of one of our partners via Facebook, Twitter and/or our blog.
To submit an entry for this series, just send EPA a write-up about your organization’s current plans to educate your public about saving energy. This entry should be between 200–400 words. If possible, please include a picture of this energy saving activity and a 2–3 sentence paragraph on the writer of the piece. All submissions may be sent to: Gordon.brittney@epa.gov.
