Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR is a national campaign from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) encouraging all Americans to join with millions of others in taking small steps that make a big difference in protecting the climate.

The campaign focuses on changes individuals can make at home and in their communities with ENERGY STAR certified products and energy-efficient practices that will save energy, save money, and help prevent climate change.

2. C. BE AN ENERGY STAR PLEDGE DRIVER!

Research shows that people are more likely to follow-up with an action if they make a public commitment. Since 2006 EPA has encouraged Americans to make a pledge to take simple actions at home to fight climate change. As of 2013, over 3.2 million Americans have taken the ENERGY STAR Pledge and much of that success is because of pledge drivers from across the country.

ENERGY STAR Pledge Drivers use the pledge to help their customers/constituents make a real commitment to saving energy and protecting the climate. The pledge allows pledge drivers to collect information on the individual actions proposed by each individual, along with their contact information. This information can then be used in directed outreach to those individuals.
