Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR is a national campaign from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) encouraging all Americans to join with millions of others in taking small steps that make a big difference in protecting the climate.

The campaign focuses on changes individuals can make at home and in their communities with ENERGY STAR certified products and energy-efficient practices that will save energy, save money, and help prevent climate change.

2. A. ENERGY STARs ACROSS AMERICA EVENT SERIES — LET EPA PROMOTE YOUR EVENT!

Join the ENERGY STARs Across America event series and show the world what your organization is doing to spread a message of energy efficiency in your community! ENERGY STAR's interactive, online map has stars displaying partner-sponsored events related to energy efficiency and ENERGY STAR. The stars have event details and can link to your event and/or pledge driver pages. ENERGY STARs Across America is EPA's opportunity to showcase what you are doing on a national stage. EPA promotes the map and our partner-sponsored events in online, social and traditional media. Partners with questions should contact: changetheworld@energystar.gov.

Become a STAR on our map!

Partner events will be promoted and showcased by EPA April–October of 2013. Event submissions will be accepted starting in January of 2013.

Submit the following information to your account manager:

  • Partner name
  • Event title & date
  • Event address (street address, city, state, and zip code REQUIRED)
  • Event description, including how this event will feature ENERGY STAR (150 characters or less)
  • Are you a current pledge driver? How will you drive pledges at the event?
  • Estimated number of attendees
  • Event URL or pledge driver page URL
  • ENERGY STAR publications requested? (order publications from: www.energystar.gov/publications)
  • ENERGY STAR giveaways requested? (availability/type dependent on campaign year, to order, see item 2. B. in this section)
  • Are you interested in promoting Team ENERGY STAR at your event? (for more details see item 2. D. in this section)
  • Contact info (name, phone number, email address)
  • Shipping info (contact name, phone number, complete address)

EPA will share pictures from your event on the map!

Submit your event photos for your star by going to your ENERGY STAR pledge driver page and clicking on "Upload an Event to Share."

If you don't know the URL for your pledge driver page, you can choose your organization from the complete list of ENERGY STAR pledge drivers and access your page that way.
