The Utah State Energy Program and local Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program is hosting EPAs Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR Exhibit House at the Deseret News Fall Home Show from October 8 to 10 at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy, UT. The Utah State Energy Program is sponsoring the exhibit as part of Utahs first ENERGY STAR Summit: Building a Better Future for Utah. The Utah State Energy Program is an ENERGY STAR partner and works with major utilities, such as Questar Gas Company and Rocky Mountain Powereach of which have earned multiple awards from EPA for their work with the ENERGY STAR program. At the event, visitors will have a chance to tour the Exhibit House and learn how to make simple, energy-efficient changes that save money on utility bills. The house also features hands-on interactive displays for the whole family, and visitors will be able to show their commitment to protecting the environment by taking the ENERGY STAR Pledge. After touring the Exhibit House, visitors will be able to experience and learn about statewide ENERGY STAR products and programs from other vendors throughout the Exposition Center at the ENERGY STAR showcase. The showcase is sponsored by the Utah Building Energy Efficiency Strategies program (UBEES)comprised of the Governors Energy Advisor, Utah Clean Energy, Utah Dept. of Facilities and Construction Management, and the State Energy Program.
This Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR Campaign Exhibit House could not happen without sponsor support. Working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR program, the following sponsors made this event possible by providing key elements, including components of the exhibit house and local event hosting and coordination.
