EPA's ENERGY STAR was on the National Mall in Washington, DC for the National Sustainable Design Expo. Visitors could tour EPA's ENERGY STAR Exhibit House and learn how to save energy and money at home, while protecting the environment. As we celebrated Earth Day with the launch of our 2009 Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR campaign, EPA proudly announced its new partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and PTO Today. These partnerships focus on America's youth and families with empowering information about energy efficiency and environmental protection-all with the goal of helping to fight global warming. The Boys & Girls Clubs of America will help spread the message of energy efficiency through participating in community-based service projects that help save energy and money. PTO Today will help America's K-8 schools implement a new "Go Green" Family Night where students and their families will learn through interactive projects about ways they can make their homes more energy-efficient.
See the 2009 Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR campaign launch video. Former EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson joined with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and PTO Today to talk about how Americas youth and families can save energy and help fight global warming. People attending the event also told us how they save at home!
