How It Works – Commmercial Water Heaters

Currently available commercial gas water heaters that meet the specification use condensing technology, whereby a multi-pass heat exchanger extracts a larger portion of the energy from the combustion process, cooling the exhaust gases to the point where it condenses. Condensing gas water heaters require:

• A Different exhaust system with a blower since the cooler exhaust gases cannot be vented up the chimney.
• A floor drain to allow condensate to drain.
• Connection to a 120 V electric outlet.
