Xcel Energy is setting the stage for the ENERGY STAR Change a Light Bus Tour to visit two of Denver's most bustling centers — Broncos and Avalanche games. Xcel Energy will hand out energy-saving night lights to sports fans entering the stadiums and the ENERGY STAR program is inviting Coloradans to walk through the bus' traveling education center outside of the stadium to see for themselves why choosing energy-efficient lighting and taking further steps to save energy is so important. Center visitors will also be invited to take the online Change a Light pledge.

Xcel Energy is participating more broadly in the national ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World campaign by offering discounted prices on several models of ENERGY STAR compact fluorescent light bulbs at The Home Depot and Costco Wholesale locations throughout their service area in Colorado. Their promotion begins on 9/10/07 and runs while supplies last.
