EPA highlights partners’ achievements in building, rating, sponsoring, and marketing ENERGY STAR certified new homes through its Partner Locator and national awards.
The Partner Locator provides a complete list of all active ENERGY STAR partners who are building, verifying, and promoting certified homes. To remain active and on this Web-based list, partners must have at least one new home qualify as ENERGY STAR within an ongoing 12-month period.
EPA has set this minimum requirement to ensure that when consumers consult EPA’s resources, they will find partners who are actively building and selling ENERGY STAR certified new homes. In addition to listing active partners, EPA will provide a link from the Partner Locator to partners’ Web sites if they meet the eligibility requirements.
EPA offers special recognition to builders who commit to building 100% of their homes as ENERGY STAR. This commitment is denoted with a special 100% icon
on the Partner Locator when EPA records indicate that your organization has met the qualifying criteria. Your organization will also have access to the 100% Commitment Mark for promotional use.
EPA also offers special recognition to builders who commit to offering an ENERGY STAR Advanced Lighting Package to their homebuyers. This commitment is denoted with a special ALP icon
on the ENERGY STAR partner locator. For details, see the ALP program requirements.
Each year, EPA recognizes builders, Providers, Raters, utilities, and sponsors that achieve specific levels of accomplishment with ENERGY STAR Certified Homes Market Leader Awards (formerly Leadership in Housing).
