Make Your Energy Choices Count

One of the most important steps you can take to help the environment is being more energy efficient, which reduces air pollution associated with energy generation and helps ensure that limited renewable energy sources go further. Smart energy choices also lower your energy bills and improve the health and comfort of your home. Learn the top 3 ways you can save with energy choices that count for you and the planet.

Save with Home Upgrades

Home Upgrade House

For most homes, the upgrades that have the highest impact on energy savings are heat pump HVAC and water heating, insulation, and high efficiency windows. These are all part of the ENERGY STAR Home Upgrade, designed to deliver significant energy, cost, and environmental savings while improving the health and comfort of your home.

Save More with Additional ENERGY STAR Product Rebates & Income Eligible Programs and Services

In addition to rebates on efficient electric products, like Heat Pump HVAC and Heat Pump Water Heaters, many other ENERGY STAR certified products qualify for utility rebates. Get a complete list of available rebates from your local utility to start your energy-saving home improvements.

Many local utilities provide special assistance to their income-eligible customers. See our list of utilities that have programs available. If you do not see your utility listed, contact them directly to see how you can access these services.

Find out if you qualify for other federal programs and services available to support income-eligible households that either need help paying energy bills or live in older homes that are not well-insulated or energy-efficient.

Save with State Rebates and Tax Credits

There are currently generous incentives available that make higher impact home upgrades more affordable , including tax credits and utility and state rebates. Visit energystar.gov/HomeSavings to find out what is available in your zip code.

Save with ENERGY STAR
