Download these nine customizable slides to spread the word about EPA's ENERGY STAR Treasure Hunt campaign, which kicks off this October and runs until January 15, 2020.
Help your customers discover the energy savings hidden in their buildings and facilities. Hundreds of organizations have used energy treasure hunts to reduce their facilities’ energy use by up to 15 percent.
With this track record, EPA launched a Treasure Hunt campaign to motivate and recognize organizations that host their own treasure hunts and share a summary of their findings.
We need your help to spread the word – and your treasure-finding expertise to help your customers find energy gold.
This annotated presentation provides an overview of the Licensed Professional’s responsibilities and role in the process of verifying an application for ENERGY STAR certification. The presentation gives an overview of the site visit and how to conduct a through and systematic review of the property, as well as some of the details of the property - basic property information, applicable indoor environmental standards, property use details, and, most importantly, the whole building energy consumption. The presentation concludes with a brief description of the audit process.
This 6-page guidance document with screenshots describes how to create a tenant property, as well as how to link tenant properties to the whole building. It also introduces you to Tenant Space recognition and directs you to the resources you will need to earn recognition for eligible tenant spaces.
Use this tool to benchmark the energy performance of commercial bread and roll bakeries and determine the plant's ENERGY STAR 1 to 100 energy performance score.
This checklist must be completed by the Professional Engineer conducting the verification for ENERGY STAR industrial plant certification. The completed checklist must be scanned as PDF and included with the application materials sent to EPA. The original checklist must be kept in the plant's certification file. This checklist can also be found in Appendix 3 of the Professional Engineers’ Guide for Validating Statements of Energy Performance.
EPA's ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry encourages energy managers and industrial sites improve energy performance. Reference this one-page summary to learn about participant activity up to Winter 2016.
This checklist is used by Professional Engineers during validation process for plants that have achieved the Challenge for Industry reduction goal. The checklist is part of the materials required for applying for recognition.
In 2015, EPA hosted the ENERGY STAR National Building Competition: Battle of the Buildings, but with a twist. For the second time, teams competed to slim their energy and water “wastelines.” More than 125 teams and 6,500 buildings across the nation competed to become the nation’s biggest loser. The team that took home the gold for energy savings was the Texas A&M – ESCO Project team, which improved energy efficiency by 35.5 percent and saved an estimated $548,900 over the course of the competition!
