This 23-page technical document describes the lighting energy unit intensity (LEUI) metric developed by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in support of EPA’s ENERGY STAR Tenant Space recognition.
PNNL lighting researchers studied and analyzed traditional lighting power density (LPD) in energy codes. PNNL also studied the Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) rating system, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Green Mark for Office Interiors program in Singapore. PNNL presents the results of this analysis in the development of the LEUI metric and inputs, showing that the LEUI gives commercial building owners and tenants a quantifiable tool for working together to improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings.
Use this 42-slide presentation to help you and your colleagues gain a better understanding of the value of ENERGY STAR Tenant Space recognition, eligibility for recognition, how to apply for ENERGY STAR Tenant Space recognition in Portfolio Manager, and how to track the status of applications.
