Since the first ENERGY STAR certified building in 1999, ENERGY STAR has worked to bring thousands of organizations in the commercial building marketplace to the forefront of energy efficiency and climate stewardship. This report gives an overview of the first decade of the program from 1999-2009, includes many photos of interesting buildings, and provides brief case studies of notable ENERGY STAR certified properties.

If you are a licensed professional, learn how you can earn CEUs by offering pro bono services for ENERGY STAR verifications. The American Institute of Architects (AIA), Public Architecture, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have partnered to connect building owners seeking ENERGY STAR certification with licensed professionals willing to provide pro bono verification services.

Interested in partnering with EPA to become an ENERGY STAR Energy Efficiency Program Sponsor (EEPS)? Utility and energy delivery organizations can use this packet to review eligibility criteria and fill out a Partnership Agreement. Return the signed agreement to EPA for consideration as an EEPS partner.
