Utilities Providing Energy Data Using Portfolio Manager Web Services
The utilities listed below have developed solutions to push energy consumption data directly into Portfolio Manager property record(s) using the Portfolio Manager web services Application Programming Interface (API). This limits the manual data entry that building owners/managers need to handle and ensures that updated ENERGY STAR metrics are available when and where they need them. This helps shift the focus on managing buildings, not data!
Nearly all of the utilities listed below are set up to deliver aggregate whole-building consumption data, as opposed to meter-by-meter data. This is particularly important in the case of multi-tenant and multifamily properties, where tenants/residents are billed directly by the utility. The provision of aggregate whole-building consumption data allows utilities to provide property owners with the data required to benchmark their properties, while maintaining tenant/resident-level data privacy.
To learn more about which utilities across the country are offering access to data for benchmarking via web services, and to obtain more information about each utility’s specific data access solution, please see our interactive map.
This list shows utility Web Services activity for the past 12 months, updated quarterly.
