ENERGY STAR Certification for Clients
To be eligible for ENERGY STAR certification, a commercial building must earn an ENERGY STAR score of 75 or higher in Portfolio Manager and an industrial plant must generate an Energy Performance Indicator in the top quartile of similar buildings nationwide.
Earning ENERGY STAR certification allows your clients to market their buildings as energy-efficient top performers that save money without sacrificing performance.

ENERGY STAR also offers recognition for buildings that don’t qualify for existing buildings certification.
Are you designing a project that you want to earn the certification once it is in operation? Commercial new construction projects can achieve the Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR recognition, which indicates that the estimated design energy incorporates energy efficiency solutions at the start and the project is intended to earn the ENERGY STAR once it is operating.
Do you have a project in a leased space within a multi-tenant property? ENERGY STAR Tenant Space recognition allows leased properties to recognize individual tenant spaces for their sustainability efforts.
