This resource provides guidance for utilities and states that regulate them on providing whole-building energy data for benchmarking in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager®. In many parts of the country, whole-building energy data is not readily available to multifamily building owners, making it difficult if not impossible for them to track or report whole-building energy use.
As voluntary and mandatory drivers for benchmarking continue to increase at the local and state level, more commercial andmultifamily building owners and managers are asking utilities for support in obtaining streamlined access to the whole-building energy consumption data needed to accurately benchmark their properties in EPA’s ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® tool. This one-page document provides an overview of key considerations that will guide utilities as they design and deploy customer-facing data access solutions.
This 3-page reference guideprovides answers to commonly asked questions for Service and Product Providers (SPPs) who are interested in accessing aggregate, whole-building energy data from a utility.
Help your customers discover the energy savings hidden in their buildings and facilities. Hundreds of organizations have used energy treasure hunts to reduce their facilities’ energy use by up to 15 percent.
With this track record, EPA launched a Treasure Hunt campaign to motivate and recognize organizations that host their own treasure hunts and share a summary of their findings.
We need your help to spread the word – and your treasure-finding expertise to help your customers find energy gold.
Use this fact sheet to find utilities in your region that offer energy data access solutions. The document linked below provides a complete listing of all known utilities providing customers with energy benchmarking data, including whether the utility provides customers with data in spreadsheet format or delivers data directly into customers’ Portfolio Manager accounts via web services. Contact information and additional resources for each utility are also included where available.
This 2-page factsheet summarizes the energy, operational, and property characteristics of wastewater treatment plants benchmarking in Portfolio Manager. Other statistics are also presented in an easy-to-read format.
The factsheet is part of the Portfolio Manager DataTrends series, which uses the data available in Portfolio Manager to examine benchmarking and trends in energy and water consumption in hundreds of thousands of U.S. commercial buildings.
