GSH creates a $475,000 fund for energy projects at Meritage Properties, which helps save energy, reduce utility costs, offset emissions, and earn ENERGY STAR certification.

GSH Group Inc. and Stellar Management
GSH’s 5-year energy management program reduces energy consumption through energy efficiency projects and ongoing monitoring and adjustments for a New York City office building.

Limbach Company LLC and Paradigm Properties
Paradigm Properties recruits Limbach Company LLC to achieve ENERGY STAR certification.

Servidyne and West Office, Inc. / Maitland Office Company, LLC.
Servidyne helped a global institutional investment manager capture energy savings and lay the foundation for energy improvements and pursuit of recognition through benchmarking in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.

Trane and The American Center
The American Center office tower increases financial performance and reduces energy use through a performance contract with Trane.

Education

Atlantic Energy Services, Inc. and Fonda-Fultonville Central School District
Atlantic Energy Services, Inc. assists Fonda-Fultonville Central School District in becoming the first New York State public school district to produce 100 percent of their own electricity completely independent of the utility company.

Automated Logic Corporation and Crosby Independent School District
Crosby Independent School (ISD) achieves a 19-percent energy reduction district-wide through low-cost and no-cost energy conservation strategies with support from Automated Logic Corporation.

Haglid Engineering & Associates, Inc. and Hopewell Valley Regional School District
Hopewell Valley Regional School District cut energy consumption by over 32 percent in 5 years in partnership with Haglid Engineering & Associates, which improved thermal comfort and indoor air quality and provided an opportunity to educate students and faculty on how to effectively save energy.

Harshaw Trane and Hardin County Schools
Harshaw Trane performance contract saves Hardin County Schools $5 million and helps eight schools earn the ENERGY STAR certification.

Johnson Controls and Midlothian Independent School District
Texas School District saved $4.2 million in energy, water, and operational efficiencies with support from Johnson Controls.

Save More Resources and Gresham-Barlow School District
Gresham-Barlow has decreased its overall energy use by 46 percent and saved a total of $4.3 million in utility costs since 1998. In 2005, Gresham-Barlow School District became one of the first school districts to use automated benchmarking by working with Save More Resources using their Utility Manager Pro Software.

Schools for Energy Efficiency® (SEE) and Cambridge-Isanti School District
Cambridge-Isanti School District, in partnership with the Schools for Energy Efficiency (SEE) program decreased its energy use by 30 percent in 5.5 years, reducing operating costs by over $1.5 million and earning the ENERGY STAR for all seven of its K-12 buildings.

Schools for Energy Efficiency (SEE) from Hallberg Engineering, Inc. and 14 Minnesota School Districts
Participants in the Schools for Energy Efficiency (SEE) program from Hallberg Engineering, Inc., which include more than 250 schools across 14 school districts in Minnesota, reduce energy use by an average of 11 percent, resulting in more than $6 million in avoided energy costs.

Siemens Building Technologies and Thompson School District
Thompson School District, in partnership with Siemens Building Technologies, reduces operating costs by $1,061,000 over 3 years.

TRC Energy Services and the NYSERDA Energy Smart Schools Program
TRC Energy Services, through its support for NYSERDA’s Energy Smart Schools Program, has helped to lower energy usage by an average of 19 percent across 140 school districts in New York State.

Government

Ameresco and Elmendorf Air Force Base
Elmendorf Air Force Base undertakes an energy savings performance contract with Ameresco focusing on a heating system decentralization that produced over $5 million in savings in year one alone.

Ameresco and Hill Air Force Base
Hill Air Force and Ameresco Landfill Gas Generator Energy Project is the first of its kind for the Department of Defense and the State of Utah.

Healthcare and senior care

Atlantic Energy Services, Inc. and Chemung County Nursing Facility
Atlantic Energy implements energy-efficient measures to improve the quality of Chemung County Nursing Facility.

Emerging Technologies Associates, Inc. (ETA) / Sharp Grossmont Hospital
Sharp Grossmont Hospital, in partnership with Emerging Technologies Associates, Inc., achieves a 9-percent reduction in energy use intensity.

Hospitality

Servidyne Systems and The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company
The Ritz-Carlton, Boston saved almost $100,000 in energy costs in less than one year with no capital investment. Savings were realized in part by working with Servidyne to obtain energy performance ratings through ENERGY STAR.

Retail

Advantage IQ and The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co.
A&P partners with Advantage IQ and uses ENERGY STAR benchmarking to drive energy savings.

Avista Advantage and Food Lion
Food Lion has saved nearly $105 million in direct energy costs and prevented 1.5 billion pounds of carbon dioxide emissions since 2000. Food Lion continues to realize savings in part by working with Avista Advantage to automate benchmarking for their 1,200 building portfolio on a monthly basis.

Burton Energy Group and Staples London Fulfillment Center
Burton Energy Group helps Staples reduce energy consumption in a 500,000-square-foot warehouse by more than 7 percent, with a predicted payback period of 2.4 years, through measures identified in an “Energy Reduction Treasure Hunt.”

New Energy Technology and JCPenney Company, Inc.
New Energy Technology has helped JCPenney to achieve wide-scale energy savings and earn the first ENERGY STAR labels for retail buildings through programs focused on high-quality energy data and energy management.

Other

Calico Energy Services and Commonwealth Edison
Calico Energy is the first service and product provider to help a utility company automate the collection and submission of commercial building usage data to ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.

Cambridge Engineering, Inc. and DÜRR Systems, Inc.
Cambridge Engineering worked with DÜRR to replace a steam boiler system with a high efficiency indirect-fired hot water boiler system to provide office heating, and an energy efficient direct-fired heating system for production areas — leading to a 23-percent reduction in natural gas consumption and improved indoor air quality.

Kilojolts Consulting Group and General Dynamics-C4 Systems
General Dynamics C4-Systems teamed with Kilojolts Consulting Group to engage tenants in energy-efficient strategies, reducing energy use intensity by 3.7 percent in one year.

Southwestern Petroleum Corporation (SWEPCO) and the City of Lake Alfred, Florida
SWEPCO supported the City of Lake Alfred, Florida in meeting its energy conservation goals by conducting energy audits on wastewater treatment plant industrial rotating equipment and recommending strategies to reduce equipment inefficiency.
