Property Types Eligible to Receive a 1-100 ENERGY STAR Score

Among the more than 80 property types built into Portfolio Manager, those listed below are eligible to receive a 1 – 100 ENERGY STAR score, which compares your property to similar properties nationwide. A score of 50 represents median energy performance, while a score of 75 or higher means your building is a top energy performer — and may be eligible for ENERGY STAR certification.

What is the 1-100 ENERGY STAR score and certification for buildings?

Click on the property type to learn how it’s defined and what data you’ll have to enter to benchmark your building in Portfolio Manager and receive an ENERGY STAR score. All types are eligible to earn ENERGY STAR certification and ENERGY STAR NextGen certification except those marked with an asterisk(s).
