- Proposal to raise minimum score for Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR (March 2024): We proposed a change to the eligibility criteria for achieving Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR recognition for U.S. commercial new construction and major renovation projects. This change does not impact ENERGY STAR certification for existing buildings and plants.
