U.S. EcoLogic, a home energy rating company, certified more than 3,600 homes as ENERGY STAR® in 2023, for a total of nearly 60,000 since 2002. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Recruiting seven new builders into the ENERGY STAR program, resulting in hundreds of additional ENERGY STAR certified homes and apartments.
  • Developing new software to enhance its ENERGY STAR certification process with exception reporting to identify data anomalies, reporting archives, photos, timestamps, and geolocations.
  • Conducting weekly field meetings with raters to troubleshoot challenges with meeting ENERGY STAR program requirements.
  • Educating and promoting the benefits of the ENERGY STAR program at events with local legislators, utilities, and regional energy offices.
  • Creating and delivering technical and sales training on the ENERGY STAR program for more than 145 builder sales and construction staff.
  • Developing new software to further enhance the quality assurance of ENERGY STAR certifications, including reporting archives, photos, timestamps, and geolocations.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
