True Manufacturing (True Food Service Equipment) is a U.S. manufacturer and global supplier of commercial, residential, and lab-grade refrigeration equipment and ice-making refrigeration systems. True Manufacturing is recognized for leading the industry in advancing energy efficiency through ENERGY STAR® in combination with the adoption of low-GWP refrigerants. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Certifying more commercial refrigeration products (258) than any other manufacturer, all of which utilize propane (R-290), a low-GWP refrigerant.
  • Earning ENERGY STAR certification for a commercial ice machine operating at one of the lowest energy consumption levels within its size category and the lowest for similar products utilizing R-290.
  • Adding a new line of certified large self-contained refrigerators and freezers utilizing R-290 to support the small grocery and large convenience store sectors.
  • Promoting ENERGY STAR partnership and hundreds of its certified products through thousands of emails to dealers, multiple instructional videos, the company webpage, and trade shows.
  • Collaborating with standards development organizations and committees to update codes and standards, broadening the applications of low-GWP refrigerants that increase energy efficiency.
  • Participating on a panel discussing the advantages of ENERGY STAR certification during the EPA-hosted celebration of more than 22 years of successful ENERGY STAR partnership with the commercial food service industry.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
