The Sponsors of Energize Connecticut, Eversource and the Avangrid Companies are electric and gas utilities. Energize Connecticut doubled its goal for air source heat pump installations and leveraged ENERGY STAR® partnerships to reduce energy use by commercial customers and promote ENERGY STAR certified appliances. Key 2022 accomplishments include: 

•  Using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® to identify energy savings opportunities for commercial customers in sixteen retro-commissioning projects. 
•  Supporting the construction of more than 500 ENERGY STAR certified homes and apartments and increasing the number of trained energy rating professionals in its market by 67% year-over-year. 
•  Installing 210 air source heat pumps—more than twice the goal for 2022—by offering rebates through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. 
•  Introducing a free “final” DOE Home Energy Score™ to customers who complete efficiency upgrades within two years of receiving an energy assessment through Home Performance with ENERGY STAR.
•  Promoting ENERGY STAR certified heating, cooling, and water heating equipment in independent and big box retailers and via manufacturers, distributors, and contractors, resulting in customer incentives for more than 8,900 ductless, air source, and geothermal heat pumps.
•  Helping save commercial customers more than 1,000,000, kWh and 100,000 therms of energy through its ENERGY STAR certified commercial food service equipment program. Continuing to encourage additional manufactures to participate in its ENERGY STAR certified lab equipment program.
