Southern California Gas Company is a natural gas utility. Southern California Gas promoted ENERGY STAR® certified products to all residential customer segments including those in disadvantaged communities, to collectively save more than 1,200,000 therms per year. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Leveraging national campaigns, including Earth Day, ENERGY STAR Day, and smart thermostat promotions while providing more than $13.5 million in rebates for more than 16,000 ENERGY STAR certified natural gas heaters, 15,000 smart thermostats, and 10,000 natural gas dryers.
  • Increasing awareness by conducting trainings to nearly 4,000 retail sales staff at 660 retail stores and distributors about the benefits of ENERGY STAR products.
  • Providing direct install measures to disadvantaged communities and hard-to-reach customers, including more than 1,600 ENERGY STAR certified clothes washers, 10,000 ENERGY STAR smart thermostats, and 1,200 ENERGY STAR furnaces.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
