The RMR Group LLC is an asset management company. RMR has demonstrated a commitment to improving its portfolio energy management program, leveraging ENERGY STAR® tools and resources in unique ways to communicate throughout its organization. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 77 buildings.
  • Advancing its real-time data capture program to improve energy and water savings at 80 buildings, totaling nearly 14 million square feet across six client portfolios.
  • Standardizing high-performance equipment specifications for improved energy performance and emissions reductions, helping to increase the amount of ENERGY STAR certified and benchmarked buildings.
  • Hosting Energy and Sustainability Roadshows, in-person events held across its regional offices to provide training and updates on corporate sustainability initiatives, including discussing its involvement in the ENERGY STAR program.
  • Launching an external newsletter to highlight energy and sustainability program performance and successes, including ENERGY STAR benchmarking and building certifications.
  • Communicating about ENERGY STAR across multiple internal channels, including its SharePoint website, newsletters, regional events, corporate website, press releases, social media, and bulletin board posts in common areas.
