Rheem Manufacturing Company is a manufacturer of residential and commercial water heaters and boilers, as well as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment. Rheem extensively promoted ENERGY STAR® certified products in digital and print campaigns. Key 2022 accomplishments include: 

  •  Securing more than 660 million impressions touting ENERGY STAR products and its partnership efforts, through proactive public relations efforts resulting in 363 placements.
  •  Debuting the first ENERGY STAR certified 120-volt heat pump water heater, a ready-to-use, drop-in gas replacement offering 55% savings in energy costs compared to a standard tank-type gas water heater. 
  •  Launching four Innovative Learning Centers and hosting groups of contractors for intensive, hands-on, and virtual trainings on ENERGY STAR products such as tankless and hybrid electric water heaters
  •  Collaborating with channel partners including major home improvement centers and lumber outlets to promote ENERGY STAR products in-aisle with the label on the product displays and boxes as well as promoting rebates through a variety of in-store signage.
  •  Serving as a presenter for 17 in-person and virtual ENERGY STAR events dedicated to increasing awareness about ENERGY STAR certified heat pump water heaters. 
  •  Creating the ENERGY STAR Series to educate contractors about ENERGY STAR performance criteria and ENERGY STAR’s online consumer guide.
  •  Training contractors on the installation and service of its ENERGY STAR certified heat pump water heaters and providing this compiled list of independent third-party contractors to populate ENERGY STAR heat pump water heater installer finder tool.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
