PPL Electric Utilities serves central Pennsylvania. The utility effectively leveraged the ENERGY STAR® program to deliver more than 50.5 million kilowatt hours in energy savings, a 23% increase compared to the previous year. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Incentivizing the construction of more than 1,400 ENERGY STAR certified homes, an increase of 18% compared with 2022.
  • Launching a deep energy retrofit pilot aligned with the ENERGY STAR Home Upgrade, offering bonus incentives for installing multiple ENERGY STAR certified products.
  • Promoting energy efficiency to its residential customers through ENERGY STAR campaigns that yielded 31.7 million impressions, an increase of 51% from the previous year.
  • Participating in multiple ENERGY STAR national campaigns and promotions, including Earth Day, ENERGY STAR Home Upgrade, Flip Your Fridge, ENERGY STAR Day, Rule Your Attic!, and more, gaining 727,000 additional webpage views.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
