PECO Energy Company

PECO Energy Company is a gas and electric utility in Pennsylvania. In offering rebates for ENERGY STAR® certified products, PECO was able to effectively leverage promotional campaigns and events to save over 75,000 MWhs in 2023. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

• Providing bonus incentives to customers who installed qualifying measures through a pilot program, including ENERGY STAR certified mini-split heat pumps, central air conditioners, air-source heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and refrigerators.
• Hosting in-person outreach events to educate its contractor network about ENERGY STAR HVAC certification and the availability of rebates.
• Supporting commercial customer use of ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® by providing whole-building data through PECO’s energy usage data tool and promoting the use of ENERGY STAR Treasure Hunts.
• Providing incentives for the construction of nearly 1,900 ENERGY STAR certified homes, more than double the amount from 2022, and delivering 1,035 MWh of energy savings.
