OZINGA

Mokena, Illinois
Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence - Energy Management
OZINGA logo

OZINGA is a construction materials and logistics service provider. The company exhibited strong leadership in energy management by regularly engaging with and presenting lessons learned to ENERGY STAR® partners across multiple focus sectors, including cement, concrete, and asphalt. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Advancing energy management coordination across the company by instituting monthly energy meetings that include representation from a diverse set of Ozinga employees and ensure the sharing of lessons learned.
  • Completing energy assessments at three separate sites to identify opportunities for energy saving improvements. The selected sites encompass most of Ozinga’s operational activities, allowing for opportunities identified to be replicated at multiple sites.
  • Achieving an energy intensity reduction of 0.7% despite a decrease in production. Since 2018, the company has reduced its energy intensity by more than 30%.
  • Supporting the Annual ENERGY STAR Industrial Partner Meeting by sharing energy management expertise with attendees.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
