Mandalay Homes, a regional home builder, constructed nearly 150 ENERGY STAR® certified homes in 2023, for a total of over 1,400 since joining the program in 2013. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Including ENERGY STAR educational and promotional materials in construction progress updates sent to all homebuyers during the building process.
  • Promoting ENERGY STAR on websites, social media, and customer communications before and after the sale, including weekly check-ins with customers.
  • Launching a maintenance program to help new and re-sale buyers ensure that their ENERGY STAR certified homes continue to perform well.
  • Using high-efficiency variable-speed mechanical systems and all-electric appliances in pursuit of building carbon-neutral homes.
  • Committing to building all its homes to earn EPA’s Indoor airPLUS and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Zero Energy Ready Home certifications, in addition to ENERGY STAR.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
