Hudson Pacific Properties, Inc. (HPP) is a vertically integrated real estate company. HPP used ENERGY STAR® resources to help grow its energy management program across its portfolio and continued to implement new initiatives to achieve carbon reduction goals. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 54 properties.
  • Benchmarking energy, water, and waste for 100% of its portfolio in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager®.
  • Developing an engagement campaign around Climate Week, providing content about its buildings’ 100% carbon neutral operations, its ENERGY STAR certifications, ENERGY STAR Tenant Space recognition, case studies about water reduction, and a waste sorting trivia game.
  • Implementing several decarbonization initiatives, including an electrification pilot, conducting a decarbonization study, and installing solar arrays and electric vehicle charging infrastructure across several of its properties.
  • Earmarking nearly $8 million for efficiency-enhancing capital projects across 20 million square feet of office buildings and studio lots. Examples include building management system upgrades, LED lighting retrofits, window film installation, and upgrades to HVAC equipment.
  • Expanding on new climate goals to track greenhouse gas emissions, including diesel generators, fugitive refrigerant emissions, and fleet fuel emissions.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
