The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) represents producers and marketers of distilled spirits. DISCUS promoted ENERGY STAR® energy management resources to its members. Key 2022 accomplishments include:

  •  Highlighting the ENERGY STAR Guide for Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings Opportunities for Distilleries to its members through email, newsletters, a press release, and webinars. 
  •  Supporting the development of an ENERGY STAR Energy Performance Indicator for distilleries, which will enable the industry to benchmark distillery energy performance.
  •  Reaching out to key distilleries to encourage participation in the ENERGY STAR Focus on Energy Efficiency in Distilled Spirits Production.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
