Key 2023 accomplishments include:

• Promoting the ENERGY STAR message to a variety of stakeholders, including industry buying groups, dealers, and contractors through social media, trade show displays, flyers, and brochures that effectively summarize and prominently display ENERGY STAR certified Continental Refrigerator products, as well as on-site educational sessions in the company showroom featuring this equipment, latest innovations, and the benefits of energy efficiency.
• Engaging with standard setting bodies, industry committees, and providing equipment to labs to improve test methods that are utilized by the ENERGY STAR program in product specification development.
• Transitioning 99% of its self-contained refrigerated models to low-GWP (R-290) refrigerant. These models include thermostatic expansion valves, as well as high-efficiency electronically commutated motor and direct current evaporator fans and condenser fans that are compatible with flammable refrigerants and minimize energy consumption.
• Installing custom temperature-controlled foam fixtures to improve quality and uniformity with EPA Significant New Alternatives Policy Program-approved low-GWP cabinet insulation in upright cabinets.
