Southwestern Electric Power Company (AEP SWEPCO) is an electric utility. SWEPCO offered no-cost energy assessments, attic and wall insulation, and duct and air sealing to senior citizens and low- to moderate-income households, increasing their participation in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Reducing energy use through efficiency upgrades in 1,851 single-family homes and 1,652 multifamily units.
- Including health and safety measures to the improvements made in 53 low-income households.
- Reducing customer upfront cost of improvements through more than $2 million in rebates.
