Southern Energy Management, a home energy rating company, continued its commitment to ENERGY STAR® in 2022 by certifying more than 1,500 homes and maintaining its support for multiple production builder partners. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Supporting North and South Carolina’s transition to Version 3.1 by meeting with all active ENERGY STAR builders on the upcoming changes and tailoring custom specification changes to help meet new performance benchmarks.
- Creating showroom displays and “silent sellers” to help builders showcase the features and benefits of ENERGY STAR certification.
- Implementing an automated SMS-based scheduling tool to confirm ENERGY STAR inspections, reducing dry runs, improving internal scheduling, and increasing builders’ efficiencies.
- Performing HVAC design work for several ENERGY STAR builder partners and providing their teams with required ENERGY STAR program documentation.
- Providing on-demand access to ENERGY STAR marketing materials for builder clients through its “High-Performance Homes Resource Hub.”
