Raytheon Technologies is an aerospace and defense company. Working with ENERGY STAR®, Raytheon Technologies continued to implement its decarbonization strategy by releasing a roadmap that entails energy efficiency, electrification, and renewable energy procurement. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Completing over 70 energy efficiency projects with an estimated annual savings of $1.4 million per year. Project types were expanded to include high-efficiency motors and building automation and ventilation upgrades.
- Publishing an Energy Best Management Practices Guidebook for release to the public to enable others to benefit from the company’s successful energy-management practices.
- Continuing to increase awareness of ENERGY STAR through its support of the New England Energy Best Practices Network.
- Studying the potential for sites to convert boilers and gas-fired equipment to electric systems. One site installed its second electric boiler.
