PSEG Long Island is an electric company. PSEG Long Island exceeded its energy savings goals and paid more than $2.25 million in customer rebates for home performance projects, with 40% for low- to moderate-income customers. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Completing more than 3,000 free home energy assessments to encourage participation in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program.
- Offering Home Energy Score™ training to contractors to increase the number of assessors and scoring 8,000 homes since becoming a Home Energy Score partner in 2013.
- Promoting ENERGY STAR certified heat pump water heaters and offering increased incentives to save customers more than 2,000,000 kWh of energy.
- Properly recycling and permanently removing more than 2,000 old, inefficient appliances from the grid. Keeping 225,000 lbs of metal out of the landfill and avoiding the release of more than 1,900 metric tons of carbon pollution.
