LBA Realty/LBA Logistics is a full-service real estate investment and management company. LBA has continued to leverage ENERGY STAR® tools and resources to engage with its internal teams to improve overall portfolio energy management and help execute its decarbonization strategy. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 26 properties.
- Undertaking initiatives to support ENERGY STAR Tenant Space® recognition, including developing a new energy efficiency procurement policy, enhancing its green lease language, and achieving ENERGY STAR Tenant Space for one of its own offices.
- Improving the analysis of energy use intensity performance across its portfolio and establishing cross-departmental “Task Force” groups that focus on embedding sustainability initiatives throughout the organization.
- Working with a data service partner to calculate LBA’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory for the second year and engaging a third-party to perform data assurance for GHG emissions, energy, water and waste data.
- Hosting the “LBA Academy,” a monthly company-wide educational session on decarbonization and the steps LBA is taking to achieve carbon neutrality.
