GDS Associates—Home Energy Ratings of New England, a home energy rating company, certified more than 900 homes as ENERGY STAR® in 2022, for a total of nearly 13,000 since 2006. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Conducting in-field training with project management, site supervisors, and purchasing; sales, marketing, and subcontractor staff to identify new strategies to meet ENERGY STAR program requirements and maintain builder commitments to the program.
- Utilizing the “NHSaves Drive to ENERGY STAR Code Plus” Initiative, a stepping-stone program to get non-ENERGY STAR builders accustomed to ENERGY STAR program requirements and provide a pathway toward partnership.
- Providing in-field and desktop training to smaller HVAC installers responsible for design and installation in compliance with ENERGY STAR program requirements.
- Engaging real estate agents and developing talking points for them to better represent the opportunity that an ENERGY STAR certified home presents.
- Conducting individual rater/modeler training throughout the year to help them stay up to date on new ENERGY STAR program requirements, changing standards, and best practices for delivering unified and consistent products and feedback to clients.
