Partner of the Year - Energy Efficiency Program Delivery
El Paso Electric is a regional electric utility providing service to customers in Texas and New Mexico. The utility supported the construction of 65 ENERGY STAR® certified homes, an increase of 30% from 2021, for a total exceeding 900 since joining the program. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Promoting the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified homes on its corporate website, resulting in more than 29,000 page views, including more than 11,000 new users, and in a full-page ad in the Las Cruces Showcase of Homes, with a distribution of 9,000 copies.
- Conducting more than 70 meetings with home builders and their teams regarding updates to ENERGY STAR program requirements and continuing to provide support to energy rating companies in their service territory.
- Delivering more than 215 kWh peak energy savings and nearly 450,000 gross kWh savings.
- Providing additional incentives for ENERGY STAR residential products such as smart thermostats and developing a new training session on heat pump water heaters for program participants.
