Partner of the Year - New Home Builder and Affordable Housing
Design Tech Homes, a regional home builder, constructed 60 ENERGY STAR® certified homes in 2022, for a total of more than 1,800 homes since joining the program in 2001. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Featuring ENERGY STAR on all electronic and print marketing materials, including sales brochures, in-home sales displays, social media posts, and websites.
- Providing its sales team with promotional tools that communicate the features and benefits of ENERGY STAR certified homes and holding weekly training sessions for all sales staff.
- Working with its energy rating company to provide technical training for its entire construction team to help ensure that each home meets all ENERGY STAR program requirements.
- Conducting a two-hour seminar attended by more than 120 homebuyers each month, during which the CEO discusses the features and benefits of ENERGY STAR certified homes and the value of being an ENERGY STAR partner.
- Reinforcing the benefits of owning an ENERGY STAR certified home by administering a homebuyer survey, which asks each buyer to rank the value of energy efficiency in their buying decision and sending a congratulatory letter from the company owners to each homebuyer that includes the home’s ENERGY STAR certificate.
