Bozzuto Management Company is a third-party manager of multifamily communities. Bozzuto leveraged ENERGY STAR® resources to engage with internal and external stakeholders and develop unique and innovative tools to reduce energy consumption across its managed portfolio. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 35 of its properties.
- Leveraging ENERGY STAR in its Property Takeover Checklist to help evaluate energy efficiency measures for new clients.
- Conducting six ENERGY STAR Treasure Hunts for one of its clients’ buildings, assisting with project implementation and assessing how measures would impact the buildings’ energy intensities and ENERGY STAR scores.
- Engaging its residents on a regular basis through newsletters on energy management strategies and behavioral changes they can easily implement to reduce their energy consumption.
- Revising its marketing materials to engage prospective or existing clients on why ENERGY STAR is a valuable resource.
