Austin Energy

Austin Energy is a municipal electric utility. Austin Energy invested more than $1 million in rebates and achieved energy savings of more than 800 megawatt hours—the equivalent of carbon dioxide emissions from burning 650,000 pounds of coal. Key 2022 accomplishments include:

•  Completing 450 Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® (HPwES) projects, for a cumulative total of more than 25,000 projects since joining the program in 2007. 
•  Achieving .60 MW of demand reduction. 
•  Increasing customer use of 0% interest rate loans from 20% to 40%.
•  Leveraging the ENERGY STAR logo on its website and marketing materials and offering co-branding opportunities to contractors in the HPwES program.
